Hi!

I’m Juan Carrano, a film editor with more than 15 years of experience working across creative documentaries, hybrid films, and auteur cinema. My work often approaches first-person narratives and archive-based projects, exploring the intersection of identity, memory, and landscape, and how personal histories resonate within broader collective and historical contexts.

The films I have edited have been programmed at international festivals including Visions du Réel, Thessaloniki, SEMINCI, RIDM and BAFICI. I have also participated in project and career development labs such as dok.incubator (2021) and Berlinale Talents (2026).

I enjoy working closely with directors and creative producers to shape stories through reflection and emotion — reframing concepts, crafting narratives, and uncovering the inner power of images.

I can offer editing facilities in Madrid, Barcelona, and Menorca for on-site collaborations, and I’m also available to travel worldwide for projects or work remotely through flexible hybrid and online workflows.
